Life Drawings / August 28

Since the beginning of June I have been using various media for life drawing. These include ballpoint pen, mechanical pencil and iPad with Procreate app. The one medium that has been missing is pastels, my favorite for figure drawing. I normally use a rather substantial wooden easel with a drawing board and 18″ x 24″ paper for doing pastels. I can no longer store my easel at the drawing venue so I set up with a small cardboard box on one of the available tables and leaned my drawing board at a slight angle. This allowed me to see the model and draw with some downward pressure on the drawing board. I was standing the whole time as I would do with an easel. This arrangement worked though it was a bit more of a strain on my back having to lean over the drawing board. In any case, I was able to get back to using the pastels! Here are the results with timings of the poses in the captions.
