More Less

About a week ago I posted what I referred to as “minimal abstracts”. They differed from my usual complex approach to digital abstract composition by using very simple elements of line and small geometric shapes along with scattered color. I remain intrigued by the idea of putting minimal elements together to form works that have a sense of space yet contain enough complexity and unity to be visually interesting. As usual, all three of these images were created in Procreate app for iPad using an Apple pencil.

    1. Thanks Laureen. BTW I apologize for misspelling your name on the last reply. These new abstracts are surprisingly tricky to do. I keep holding myself back from adding too much, whether it be more objects, more saturated colors, textures or generally more complexity. It’s an interesting discipline and almost puzzle-like. Thanks for writing and I’m glad you found them interesting.
